Agia Triada, Gouverneto & Katholiko — Private Monastery Tour

Overveiw
This private tour takes you to the Akrotiri peninsula, where some of Crete’s most impressive monasteries are located. It’s a beautiful combination of architecture, history, and wild natural scenery.
We begin with Agia Triada Monastery, known for its elegant courtyard and peaceful atmosphere. Then we continue to Gouverneto Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Crete, surrounded by dramatic rocky landscapes.
From Gouverneto, a scenic path leads toward the abandoned Katholiko Monastery, one of the island’s oldest monastic sites. Along the way, you’ll pass the famous Hermit Cave, carved into the rock — a place of quiet history and stunning views.
The hike is moderate and optional — you can walk at your own pace, enjoy the views, and turn back whenever you feel comfortable. This is a flexible private tour, adapted to your rhythm.
A peaceful journey through Crete’s spiritual heritage — historic monasteries, dramatic landscapes, and a scenic walk to the hermit cave of Katholiko.
